Muscle Tissue Restoration is a technique that breaks down pathological connective tissue, decreases inflammation, and restores function. A program is tailored for each person after assessing the individual’s dysfunction, age, body composition and medical history.
Pathological connective tissue contains abnormal amounts of connective tissue leading to poor blood supply and constrained muscle fibers. Deep tissue manipulation in MTR is used to break down the abnormal connective tissue, increasing blood flow and freeing up the muscle fibers, thereby restoring flexibility and posture, increasing strength and reducing pain. In many cases, complicated and expensive orthopedic surgery can be avoided by MTR.
